Accountability in some circles the most frequent word used and in others, well not so much.
Accountability or the art of holding yourself accountable is the most powerful tool for self improvement / development. Either holding yourself accountable or having others hold you accountable means that you will always have someone tracking and reviewing your progress.
Why do you think that people pick up exercise or the gym if they find a training partner? Quit smoking in twos or any other physical or mental challenge. They had someone holding them accountable, they felt they were invested and they couldn’t let that friend down.
Accountability is an interesting concept because it means that you are constantly reviewing your own progress, or someone is doing this on your behalf, that’s where the success of the StickK app creates an awesome self developmental community to break bad habits or achieve goals.
You would think that being held accountable is stressful however if you want to improve something or change, you will actually have that interest in it yourself and stress is the last thing on your mind. By making yourself accountable you are suggesting either to yourself or someone close to you, that you want to achieve and you need their help to do it.
