My three part process to writing has made me disciplined, creative and accountable to writing every single day.

Ideas

when I have an idea in my day, it might be while i’m out walking, talking or whatever. i quickly grab my phone, open up the WordPress app and do a quick brainstorm (less that 15 seconds) and brain dump everything into the page.

Writing

after I structure it a little bit and make it clearer in my head, I write, I just continue to write and get all the words I need down on paper. I let my hands run riot and just write. If i spell something wrong, oh well, that comes from the editing phase…

Editing

the editing phase allows me to beautify my horrible writing that I have been working on that day. The endless underlining red *pen* from misspelling words or something that doesn’t make sense needs rectifying.

key take away

now i’m not saying  i’m an expert in writing (if you saw my unedited versions you would easily see why) but what I have found is that, if you want to write or if you want to go through that writers block / wall. you just got to do it.

I recently wrote an article on the art of doing you can check it out here
