Donald Trump Is The Most Powerful President Ever

Like me you are probably getting bored of reading about Donald Trump so don’t read this.

lol do, because i’m going to explain why Donald Trump is the most powerful President.

It took 38 years for radio to reach 50 million users, 14 years for TV and 4 years for the internet to reach 50 million users.

It took Instagram less than two years.

The age of social media has angry bird catapulted (see what i did there?) communications to next levels. People are now live tweeting, Facebook living events and even disasters everyday. You wouldn’t be able to go to a festival or music gig without seeing someone record the whole performance through their phone.

But what has this got to do with Trumpster?

Well, we all know Mr Trump loves his Twitter, and is regularly tweeting from his personal account. In fact, he loves tweeting so much – it is now the main source of news for journalists, yeah let that one sink in.

but what’s the connection to being powerful?

Power is a construct and without getting too sociological, it is perceived by those that follow or act rather than the person themselves. The same could be said for leadership, it is only as strong as the people that follow.

What Trump is doing with his Twitter, is creating his own narrative, his own story. whether you agree with him or not is besides the point, by taking the mainstream media out of the equation, he can spin his own stories.

I’m not saying that people are listening, however he did get elected, what i am suggesting is that if he continues the rhetoric of ‘the mainstream media is out to get me, listen to me’ type vibe, it will start to seep in.

I guess the true test is whether he gets re-elected.

APPLICATION TO YOU

I think the strongest thing to take away from this, is the message of not letting others ‘the media’ define you. Write your own story, your own agenda and spin it how you want it to be spun. If you want to be successful, you need to stop caring what people think and say and just do you. otherwise what’s the point eh?

life is too short.
